Getting Started

Your first goal should be learning the county, establishing who your character is and finding a reason for that character to become part of the world around them.

Build a Character

Give your character a personality, history, goals and weaknesses that other players can actually interact with.

Explore First

Learn the major towns, businesses, government locations and surrounding territory before deciding where your character belongs.

Meet People

Some of the best opportunities come from talking to other players rather than immediately chasing money or crime.

Read the Rules

Before entering hostile situations, criminal scenes or government roles, understand the official server rules.

Making a Living

Untamed Borderland supports legitimate work and long-term progression. Not every story needs to begin with a robbery.

County Work

Construction and other paid county work provide legitimate ways to begin earning money.

Frontier Work

Hunting, fishing and other frontier activities can become part of a character's regular livelihood.

Work for Players

Player-owned businesses can create employment and give new characters another path into the county economy.

Build Toward Something

Money becomes more meaningful when it supports a character goal such as a business, home, horse, ranch or crew.

Player-Owned Businesses

Businesses are intended to create active roleplay and contribute to the county economy—not simply exist as passive income.

Shopkeep Operations

Approved smaller businesses can include operations such as general stores and other entry-level enterprises.

Magnate Operations

Larger approved enterprises can include blacksmiths, saloons and other important county businesses.

Kingpin Operations

Premium operations may include stables, gunsmiths, tattoo shops, tailors and other high-impact businesses.

Approval Matters

Some business ownership requires availability confirmation, interview and staff approval before purchase.

Keep It Active

Business ownership should create interaction, employment, commerce and story for other players—not just provide ownership on paper.

Housing & Property

Property gives characters a permanent stake in the Borderland and can become a major part of long-term roleplay.

Build Your Crib

Approved building plans can be used to establish a home at an approved location.

Walk-In Properties

Existing walk-in homes may become available throughout the territory.

Ranches

Suitable approved homes may support ranch activity involving horses, cattle, crops and other approved homestead systems.

Encampments

Groups can establish persistent approved camps and create a shared presence in the Borderland.

Housing Live Map

The dedicated Housing Live Map will become the central reference for property locations, availability and real estate information.

Horses & Stables

Horses remain one of the most important parts of life in the Borderland and are more than simple transportation.

Horse Ownership

Purchase and manage horses through available stable systems throughout the county.

Horse Training

Training systems are designed to make working with horses part of the roleplay rather than a simple menu interaction.

Stable Businesses

Player-operated stables can become major businesses within the county.

Ranch Integration

Approved ranch properties can expand horse-focused roleplay beyond the normal stable experience.

Law & Medical

Government and medical roles provide structure, services and ongoing stories throughout the territory.

U.S. Marshals

Marshals investigate crime, protect the public and enforce the laws and Penal Codes of the territory.

Army Cavalry

The Cavalry provides a military presence and supports government activity within the Borderland.

Doctors & Medics

Medical personnel treat injuries, broken bones, poisoning and other medical situations through custom systems.

Law Recruitment

Players interested in law enforcement can apply through the dedicated Untamed Borderland law recruitment process.

Criminal Life

Criminal roleplay should build stories, relationships and consequences rather than become a string of disconnected robberies.

Moonshine

Build connections and develop illegal operations around underground trade.

Contraband

Illegal production and distribution can become part of a larger organized criminal enterprise.

Robbery

Robbery and hostile scenes are governed by server rules and should create meaningful roleplay for everyone involved.

Gangs & Territory

Organized groups can develop alliances, enemies and territory-driven stories throughout the Borderland.

Crime Has Rules

Read the official Server Rules before participating in robbery, kidnapping, hostile gang activity or other violent criminal scenes.

Weapons & Customization

Untamed Borderland includes an exclusive self-service weapon customization system.

Customize Your Own Iron

Approved customization tickets allow players to style compatible firearms without requiring a gunsmith to be online.

Cosmetic Changes

Customization can include compatible metals, engravings, grips, varnishes, finishes and decorative details.

Cosmetic Only

Weapon customization changes appearance. It does not provide a firearm or improve weapon performance.

Expanded Borderland

The world extends beyond the familiar frontier and includes additional border territories and access into Mexico.

New Austin

Desert towns, ranches and frontier operations form a major part of the southern Borderland.

Mexico

Additional locations south of the border expand opportunities for travel, crime, trade and character stories.
